Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Live Tayyib™ ("we," "us"), offered under Pure Healing Foundation Organization, handles information when you use our website, mobile app, or related APIs (the "Service"). Formation of a separate LIVE TAYYIB LLC entity is in progress; until that entity is formed and this Policy is updated, Pure Healing Foundation Organization is the publisher responsible for the Service's informational content. The website, iOS and Android applications, backend systems, and data architectures are developed and technically maintained by KaBiQ Tech LLC (also referred to as KabiqTech), Chicago, USA, solely as a technical partner engaged by Pure Healing Foundation Organization. KaBiQ Tech LLC is not the publisher of product assessments or other informational content shown in the Service, and does not own the Live Tayyib™ trademarks. By using the Service or accepting this Policy during registration, you also agree to our Terms & Conditions, which restrict copying, scraping, unauthorized use of our trademarks, and use of our APIs as a third-party data service.

1. Intended audience

The Service is intended only for customers located in the United States. It is not directed to individuals outside the U.S. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for any local legal requirements.

2. What the Service shows

Live Tayyib primarily displays food product data and informational Tayyib / Non-Tayyib assessments. Those assessments and their reasoning are based on data from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts (where applicable), reviewed with assistance from artificial intelligence, and produced under guidance collected from Pure Healing Foundation Organization. Pure Healing Foundation Organization is responsible for the informational content published in the Service. We do not sell that product data as personal information about you. Sources include:

  • USDA FoodData Central — Branded Foods (primary product and ingredient text)
  • Open Food Facts (product photo URLs; and when USDA lacks a barcode, product name/ingredients via their official API under ODbL)
  • IARC Monographs classifications (informational matching)
  • California Proposition 65 / OEHHA cancer listings (informational matching)
  • AI-assisted Tayyib assessments under Pure Healing Foundation Organization guidance (third-party model responses keyed to product and ingredient text — see below)

That product database content is not personal data about end users; it describes packaged goods published by those sources. Published Content and Platform Technology are protected as described in the Terms.

3. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

  • Account data — if you register: email address, password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — never recoverable as plaintext), email verification status, and profile fields you provide (age, gender, U.S. state, city). Profile fields are encrypted at rest with application-level encryption before they are written to the database.
  • Usage data — search queries, UPCs looked up, product pages opened, AI assessment requests, approximate timestamps, and technical logs needed to operate and debug the Service.
  • AI assessment cache — for products you (or others) look up, we may store the product identifier, an ingredients-text hash, model name, structured Tayyib status fields, and short explanatory notes so we can reuse the result when the same ingredient text is requested again. This is product-label analysis data, not a profile of your identity, though it is generated because of product lookups on the Service.
  • Device / technical data — IP address, browser or app type, operating system, and similar information automatically sent by your device.
  • Security and abuse-prevention data — IP address, request volume, account identifiers, and related signals used to detect scraping, API misuse, credential stuffing, or other violations of our Terms, and to throttle or block abusive access.
  • Voluntary contact — if you email or message us, the content of that correspondence.

Categories, Health Guides, and product views may require a verified account. We do not intentionally collect medical records.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use essential cookies or local storage required for basic functionality (for example session or preference storage). We do not use the Service to run advertising trackers as a core feature. Third-party hosts (for example font CDNs or Open Food Facts image URLs) may set their own cookies or logs according to their policies when your browser requests those resources.

5. How we use information

We use technical and usage data to:

  • Provide search and product lookup;
  • Generate and cache AI-assisted Tayyib assessments;
  • Maintain security, uptime, rate limiting, and abuse prevention (including enforcing our Terms against scraping and unauthorized API use);
  • Improve accuracy and performance of the Service;
  • Respond to contact requests and account inquiries.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Sharing

We may share limited technical data with hosting, database, or infrastructure providers (including KaBiQ Tech LLC as technical partner) solely to run the Service. When an AI assessment is generated, product name, brand, barcode, and ingredient text (and related seed-match context) may be sent to our AI provider (currently Google Gemini) to produce the assessment. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service (for example investigating Terms violations). Product photos are requested by your device directly from Open Food Facts (or their CDN); that request is subject to their privacy practices.

7. Data retention

Server logs and similar technical records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized. Abuse-prevention and rate-limit records may be retained as needed to protect the Service. Account data is kept while your account remains active. Cached AI product assessments may be retained to avoid repeating model calls for the same ingredient text and may be refreshed when labels change or our assessment policy is updated.

8. Account deletion

You may delete your Live Tayyib account and associated personal profile data yourself from the Account page while signed in (password and typing DELETE required). We email a confirmation. Product catalog data from USDA and other public sources is not personal data and is not deleted when an account is removed. Cached product assessments and aggregated security logs that are not tied to your account identity may be retained. You may register again later with the same email.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Trademarks

The Live Tayyib™ name, logo, stylized mark, and related brand identifiers are trademarks and/or service marks of Pure Healing Foundation Organization. They may not be copied, reproduced, imitated, modified, distributed, or otherwise used without prior written permission from Pure Healing Foundation Organization. This Privacy Policy does not grant any trademark license. See our Terms & Conditions for full intellectual-property and trademark rules.

11. No liability for product and third-party data

Information about food products, risk classifications, and Tayyib / Non-Tayyib assessments comes from third-party sources (including USDA and Open Food Facts), AI-assisted review, and guidance from Pure Healing Foundation Organization. Pure Healing Foundation Organization is responsible for the informational content published in the Service. You must practice caution and use that information at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KaBiQ Tech LLC — as technical partner only — has no legal responsibility or liability for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of product data, assessments, or other published information, and shall not be liable for any claim or legal action arising from alleged incorrect information in the Service. See our Terms & Conditions for the full disclaimer and limitation of liability.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
